Destination Wedding Paradise in Jamaica

April 11, 2011 Weddings Unlimited, Inc.

As a Certified Sandals Specialists , I have been on the go to many of their resorts in the Caribbean to get a feel of what a bride and groom (or just a couple) would experience if they opted for a tropical getaway. This trip was to the island of Jamaica and an inspection of several of their properties. To my amazement each one was unique into itself.  Can you imagine having to make a decision on which to visit based on property layout and location, building structure, food and entertainment? What an overwhelming job you have. That is, until you contact Weddings Unlimited ( to help with your decision. Unlike a travel agency, Joyce is eager to experience every property before she makes a recommendation to a potential client.

Rent the island for a day…$5000

Rent this Island for a day….$5000.  Awesome venue for a wedding!

Let’s now take a sneak peek at one of the Sandals Resorts Joyce inspected on her most recent visit to Jamaica…

Sandals Royal Caribbean: This property is labeled ” Old World British Colonial Charm in a Caribbean setting”. Nestled on the northern shores of Jamaica, the resort is located east of the city of Montego Bay. It is a short drive of 10 minutes from the Sangster International Airport and one and a half hours from the world-famous Dunn’s River Falls in Ocho Rios. The luxury included selling points include:

…Five exquisite dining options, with world-class culinary cuisines

Jamaica’s only resort with a private off-shore Island, housing an Authentic Thai Restaurant.

…British-style afternoon tea.

…English Pub offering an authentic pub dining experience in a relaxing and enticing environment.

…Magnificent Swim-up Crystal Lagoon Suites.

… Fully equipped fitness center and saunas

…Red Lane Spa

…Water Sports including snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, kayaking and sail boating.

…Entertainment daily and nightly.

…Complimentary transfers with full exchange privileges to Sandals Carlyle and Sandals Montego Bay.

…24 hour Room Service as a part of the exclusive Suite Concierge Service.

As an Association of Bridal Consultant member and site inspector for Sandals Royal Caribbean, I was housed in a room at the Concierge service level. This level is one that I highly suggest for honeymoon couples or first timers. This service offers a dedicated Concierge to assist with requests including Island tours, dinner reservations, and just about anything else one may need. A fully stocked in-room bar with alcohol and an assortment of soft drinks is so handy for those that just want to stay in seclusion. As for the view from the private balcony…breathtaking. What could be any better than to have your coffee and Continental Breakfast served on your balcony while you watch the beautiful ocean right in front of you suite.

For those who want the luxury of all luxury of their time spent on their honeymoon or vacation…go the Butler route. Your wish is their command. The uncompromising attention of a personal butler trained to the highest standards by the elite Guild of Professional English Butlers, you will be pampered throughout your stay (in the Grand Romeo & Juliet Honeymoon Penthouse Oceanview swim-up one bedroom crystal lagoon suite) in an extraordinary way from unpacking and packing your luggage, attending to your wardrobe, serving a glorious meal on your terrace, or bringing you food and drinks while you bask in the sun on the pristine beach. This should be experienced at least once in a lifetime. Why not on your honeymoon?
