Bargains for Ireland Weddings and Honeymoons

June 21, 2012 Weddings Unlimited, Inc.

It seems that my previous post on Ireland Castles keeps getting lots of exposure, so I thought I give you some of the lasted information that may convince you to wed or honeymoon in Ireland.

Upscale hotels are weathering the European economic downturn by offering lower rates and added value. There are some travel packages out there that are offering $1300 per person, including round trip airfare to Ireland, car rental, two nights’ accommodations at Ashford Castle, two nights at the Ritz-Carlton Powerscourt, just south of Dublin, and another luxe castle hotel, Dromoland (been to all three).

The latest spring offer at Ashland was “stay for two nights, get the third free for about $172 per room, per night for lodging and breakfast. In the past, the rooms have gone for as high as $1000 a night for those wanting to bed down in a 13th century stronghold that became the Guinness family summer home, backdrop for the 1952 classic movie, The Quiet Man and retreat for Ronald Reagan and Pierce Brosnon.  Brosnon actually had his wedding reception there in 2001.

There is so much more I can share with you about the hotels, but this blog entry would be too long. Just email me at or  call 513-742-1645 and let’s chat!
